In 2020, construction was completed on a 14.4 MW ground-mount solar PV portfolio for Anglian Water, who supply water and waste recycling services to six million customers in the east of England. The projects are all ground mounted on seven separate sites on Anglian Water property, and connected behind the meter.
Anglian Water will purchase the power produced by the solar PV systems over a 25-year PPA contract at a substantial discount to current grid electricity price. This PPA will significantly contribute to Anglian Water’s ambitious sustainability targets including its commitment to becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
The largest site is an 11.6MW installation built at Grafham Water Treatment Works, installed by the EPC contractor HNS Energies. Cero, alongside the O&M provider will manage the sites for the duration of the PPA.
